Taiwan’s Legislative Yuan unanimously passed a bill on July 21 easing restrictions on foreign firms to bolster the island’s communications infrastructure.
The measure aims to reduce vulnerability to Chinese interference with undersea cables by increasing international partnerships in the sector.
