Ahlam Tamimi, convicted for her role in the 2001 Sbarro restaurant bombing in Jerusalem that killed 15 people including two Americans, was released by Israel and fled to Jordan.

The United States requested her extradition in 2017, but Jordan’s Court of Cassation ruled the extradition treaty invalid.
