Jewish Costa Rican frontrunner emerges in race to lead the UN...

Rebeca Grynspan, a Jewish Costa Rican economist and former vice president, has emerged as the frontrunner to become the next UN secretary-general.

In the first informal straw poll among the 15 UN Security Council members, she received 10 votes of encouragement, one discouragement and four no opinions.
