The IDF Spokesperson's Unit cleared for publication the deaths of two reserve soldiers in southern Lebanon. Major (Res.) Harel Birenstock, 34, from Nokdim, and Chief Master Sergeant (Res.) Tamir Vaknin, 33, from Eilat, both served in the 2855th Battalion of the 55th Brigade and fell during combat operations.

Four additional IDF reserve soldiers were severely injured in the same incident.
