Eisenkot Claims Victory, Netanyahu Says Right Wing Won...

Israeli voters recorded a record 77.7 percent turnout in the first national elections since the October 7 war. Exit polls showed no clear winner, with opposition leader Gadi Eisenkot claiming victory for change and urging Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to retire.

Netanyahu stated that Likud remains the largest party and that the right-wing bloc holds a decisive majority among Zionist voters. Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett declared Netanyahu had lost, while Avigdor Lieberman called for waiting until all double-envelope ballots are counted.
