NY judge dismisses lawsuit against Columbia by former professor who said he was 'with Hamas'...

A New York judge dismissed a defamation lawsuit filed by former Columbia University professor Mohamed Abdou against the school and its former president Minouche Shafik.

The court ruled that Shafik’s congressional statements describing Abdou as having said he was “with Hamas” were protected opinions and did not state a cause of action for defamation.
