NYPD: Anti-Jewish hate crimes increased 8.5% in first 7 months of 2026...

The NYPD released data showing anti-Jewish hate crimes in New York City rose 8.5 percent in the first seven months of 2026, increasing from 189 to 205 incidents. These crimes represented nearly 57 percent of all confirmed hate crimes despite Jewish residents comprising about 10 percent of the population.

Sydney Altfield, CEO of Teach Coalition, stated that the figures measure the growing number of Jewish victims targeted by hate.
