Prime Minister Netanyahu ordered the Shin Bet to prepare a full report and action plan on security risks in the Negev. Security officials had warned that weapons held by Bedouin criminal networks could be turned against the state.

The directive follows assessments that the Negev emerged as a new blind spot similar to those exposed on October 7.
