New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani declined to describe the October 7 Hamas attacks as genocide. He reiterated his support for the arrest of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Mamdani stated that protest is one of the bedrocks of the city when asked about Palestinian New Yorkers' response to Netanyahu's planned September visit.
