White House silent on Iran-Oman Hormuz plan Tehran says would ban US warships...

Iran and Oman have announced a framework agreement aimed at reopening the Strait of Hormuz to maritime traffic. Tehran has claimed the plan would prohibit US warships from passing through the strategic waterway.

The White House has not commented on the proposal. US Central Command maintains that the Strait of Hormuz is an international waterway open to all vessels.
