Israel, Lebanon make no progress in Rome talks...

Talks between Israeli and Lebanese delegations in Rome ended without a breakthrough after the first day of meetings. The discussions were reported as difficult and tense.

Israel did not give a final answer on halting controlled demolitions, one of the demands raised by the Lebanese side.
