Former Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Michael Oren and Foundation for Defense of Democracies executive director Jonathan Schanzer debated in New York whether Israel should reduce its reliance on U.S. military aid.

Oren argued that Jerusalem should pursue a strategic partnership before political shifts in Washington force changes to the aid relationship.
