NIS 5 million fraud: Electricity bills allegedly erased for cash...

Israeli police report a fraud scheme at the Israel Electric Corporation in which customers allegedly paid a small portion of their outstanding electricity debts to have the full amounts illegally erased from company records.

The operation is said to have involved approximately NIS 5 million in fraudulent debt cancellations.
