Jalud families still unable to return to burned homes despite High Court order...

Families from the West Bank village of Jalud remain unable to return to their homes destroyed in a September operation, despite an Israeli High Court order directing their return. A lawyer representing the families told the justices that the destruction has not changed the demand to go back.

The state acknowledged “shame and failure” over the operation during the hearing.
