The Jerusalem Post editorial argues that any unity proposal in Israeli politics must begin with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. It notes that many Likud voters chose Netanyahu personally rather than the party.

Any serious unity deal therefore has to start with the current Likud leader instead of attempting to sideline him.
