Israel and Britain reached a compromise to end their diplomatic rift over the British consulate in Jerusalem. The consulate has closed and will operate as the 'UK Mission, Jerusalem' with a reduced diplomatic team.

Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar stated that the era of Israeli containment is over following the agreement.
