Iranian official Majidreza Hariri told the Iranian site Khabar Online that a US blockade of the Strait of Hormuz would cost Iran $18 billion and should not become normalized like sanctions.

He urged imposing the costs of lifting any blockade on the United States, including through war if necessary.
