Opposition Leader Yair Lapid met with Democratic senators in Washington who recently voted to restrict arms sales to Israel. He sought to persuade them to reverse their positions on the issue.

Lapid traveled to the US capital at the same time as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who attended a memorial service for a pro-Israel senator. Lapid used the trip to lobby Democrats on Israel's behalf.
