The Gaza Council of Peace stated that it shares Israel's goal of complete disarmament in the Gaza Strip and a transition to civilian rule.

The council emphasized that any IDF withdrawal beyond the Yellow Line would occur only after all weapons, including light and heavy arms and tunnels, are dismantled.
