Archaeological Seals Corroborate Biblical Account of Prophet Jeremiah Thrown into Jerusalem Pit...
A post describes how officials under King Zedekiah of Judah threw the prophet Jeremiah into a pit, as recorded in the Bible. Clay seal impressions bearing the names of two of those officials, Jehucal son of Shelemiah and Gedaliah son of Pashur, were discovered in Jerusalem and dated to the sixth century B.C.
The post includes footage of the author standing in the actual pit in Jerusalem where the event is believed to have occurred.
