The IDF demolished terror tunnels in the Beaufort region of southern Lebanon using roughly 700 tons of explosives. The operation was ordered by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz.

The underground network formed part of Hezbollah's plan to invade communities in the Galilee. The action followed a reported ceasefire violation.
