The Israel Defense Forces killed Muhammad Khalil Muhammad Aslam, an Islamic Jihad commander who participated in the October 7 hostage-taking. The military stated Aslam also advanced terror attacks in recent months.

Israeli forces targeted the commander in a direct operation against the terror group.
