Marcy Grossman served as Canada’s ambassador to the United Arab Emirates from 2019 to 2022. During that period, Jewish life in the country expanded and the UAE inaugurated the region’s first synagogue in nearly a century.

She is returning to Abu Dhabi to lead the American Jewish Committee’s Gulf diplomacy efforts.
