Israelis rush to the shops on election day: 26% increase in credit card spending...

Israelis spent NIS 250.78 million using payment cards between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on election day, a 26.5% increase compared to the same hours in 2022.

Data from payment processor SHVA showed peak activity at 10:57 a.m. with more than 11,300 transactions in a single minute totaling NIS 2.39 million.
