Iraq PM gives Iran-backed militias until June 2027 to disarm and disband...

Iraq Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi announced that Iran-backed militias have until June 2027 to disarm and disband.

Militias will first observe a 90-day truce, after which fighters may be absorbed individually into state forces and any groups still armed will be declared outlaws.
