Iran has appointed Mohsen Rezaei, a suspect in the 1994 AMIA bombing in Argentina, to its National Security Council.

Rezaei remains subject to an Interpol red notice and is facing trial in absentia in Argentina over the attack that killed 85 people at the Jewish community center in Buenos Aires.
