Daniel Lewin was an Israeli-American passenger aboard American Airlines Flight 11 on September 11, 2001. He was identified as the first victim of the attacks.

According to FBI reports, the 9/11 Commission and flight attendant records, Lewin confronted Al-Qaeda hijackers seated in front of him but was slashed in the throat by a hijacker behind him.
