Mossad chief Roman Gofman dismissed the Iran Desk Head and another senior intelligence official. Channel 12 reported the removals stemmed from a plan to topple Iran's regime that was never carried out.

The officials were directly involved in developing the unexecuted operation against the Iranian government.
