Some NYPD data suggests drop in hate crimes in the city in June

New York City's police data indicates that there were 29 reported hate crimes from June 1 to June 28 this year, a decrease from 50 during the same timeframe in the previous year.

The city has yet to release its official monthly crime statistics for June.
