Melissa Chaudhry, a Muslim Democrat in Washington state, is seeking to unseat a longtime congressman for his support of Israel and has said she may switch to the Green Party.

Chaudhry told JNS that pro-LGBT messages alienate Muslims and that she felt forced into a corner by an aggressive opponent.
