Iran, Oman near deal to control Hormuz traffic and charge ‘service fees’...

Iran and Oman are reportedly close to a deal that would route incoming ships near Iran and outgoing vessels near Oman through the Strait of Hormuz while allowing both countries to collect service fees.

Washington has stated it will not accept any arrangement giving Tehran control over access to the waterway or the ability to collect payments.
