50 Years After Operation Entebbe, Uganda Unveils Memorial to Yoni Netanyahu...

On July 4, 1976, the Israel Defense Forces launched Operation Entebbe and rescued more than 100 Jewish and Israeli hostages held by PFLP terrorists in Uganda. Yonatan Netanyahu, brother of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, was the only Israeli killed during the raid.

Fifty years later, Uganda unveiled a memorial to Yonatan Netanyahu at the location where he fell. The event commemorates the successful hostage rescue operation.
