Grants totaling about $5 million were distributed to directors of Haredi institutions that decline state budgets and support. The ceremony was held at the home of Rabbi Moshe Sternbuch in Jerusalem.

The distribution forms part of an annual private aid program amounting to roughly $17 million for qualifying institutions.
