Canada to purchase up to 12 submarines from Germany in mega-deal

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced that Canada will purchase up to 12 submarines from the German company ThyssenKrupp as part of an initiative to rebuild and expand the Canadian fleet.

The total cost of this defense procurement deal may reach up to $100 billion.
