Golan Druze community marks a new chapter with Birthright Israel project...

The Druze community in Majdal Shams on the Golan Heights took part in a Birthright Israel project. Local municipality head Dolan Abu Saleh said the community accepted Jews and Israelis as their home on Oct. 8 and now feels reciprocally accepted.

The initiative signals a new phase of relations between the Druze residents and the Jewish state.
